Understanding Mikrotik Routerboard
Mikrotik routerboard adalah suatu hardware yang dapat menjalankan router network tanpa perlu di install ke sebuah PC, karena Mikrotik ini telah di desain untuk menjalankan routerOS sehingga dapat menjadi router yang handal untuk penggunanya.
Mikrotik routerboard is a hardware that can run a network router without the need to install to a PC, because this Mikrotik has been designed to run RouterOS so that router it can be reliable for users.

Understanding WinBox
Winbox adalah utility yang digunakan untuk konektivitas dan konfigurasi MikroTik menggunakan MAC Address atau protokol IP. Dengan winbox kita dapat melakukan konfigurasi MikroTik menggunakan modus GUI dengan cepat dan sederhana.
Winbox is a utility that is used for connectivity and configuration MikroTik by MAC address or IP protocol. With winbox we can do MikroTik configuration using GUI mode with fast and simple.

Understanding PuTTY
PuTTY adalah sebuah program open source yang dapat Anda gunakan untuk melakukan protokol jaringan Raw, Telnet, Rlogin, SSH, dan Serial. Protokol ini dapat digunakan untuk menjalankan sesi remote pada sebuah komputer melalui sebuah jaringan LAN maupun internet.
PuTTY is an open source program that you can use to perform network protocol Raw, Telnet, Rlogin, SSH, and Serial. This protocol can be used to perform remote sessions on a single computer via a LAN network or Internet.
Langkah-langkah :
Steps :
- Pastikan kabel UTP sudah terpasang di laptop atau PC yang terhubung ke Mikrotik routerboard. Tancapkan kabel UTP dari laptop atau PC anda ke port 2 routerboard.
Make sure UTP cables is plugged on the laptop or PC that is connected to Mikrotik routerboard. Plug the UTP cable from your laptop or PC to port 2 routerboard.
- Atur IP di laptop atau komputer anda sesuai dengan IP routerboard
Set IP in your laptop or computer in accordance with IP routerboard
- Buka aplikasi WinBox, pilih “browse” untuk melihat IP atau Mac Address routerboard dan klik IP atau Mac Address itu. Klik “sambungkan” untuk menyambungkan aplikasi ke routerboard
Open application WinBox, select “browse” to view the IP or Mac Address routerboard and click the IP or Mac Address. Click “connect” to connecting applications to routerboard
- Pilih menu “system” lalu pilih “identity”
Select ”system” menu then select “identity”
- Ganti nama identitas routerboard sesuai yang kamu inginkan, klik apply lalu ok
Rename routerboard appropriate identity you want, click apply then ok
- Identitas routerboard sudah terganti
Identity of routerboard has been replaced
- Klik menu “system” lalu pilih “user”
Click ‘”system” menu then select “user”
- Kemudian klik dua kali pada user “admin” lalu atur IP user “admin” dan IP itu hanya dapat diakses oleh satu user itu saja, klik apply lalu ok
Then double-click on user "admin" and then set the IP user "admin" and IP that can only be accessed by the user that, click apply then ok
- Setelah itu pilih “password” dan isi password untuk login user “admin”, klik apply lalu ok
After that select "password" and fill the password to login user "admin", click apply then ok
- Klik icon “+” untuk menambahkan user baru dan untuk “group” pilih yang “full” supaya dapat diakses oleh banyak user, klik apply lalu ok
Click icon “+”to add a new user and for the "group" select "full" that can be accessed by multiple users, click apply then ok
- Maka hasilnya akan seperti ini, tutup aplikasi WinBox
The results will be like this, close the application WinBox
- Atur IP di laptop atau komputer anda sesuai dengan IP user “admin” yang sudah dibuat tadi
Set the IP in your laptop or computer accordance with IP user "admin" which you have created
- Buka aplikasi WinBox dan masuk menggunakan user “admin” dan passwordnya
Open application WinBox and login using user "admin" and password
- Masuk menggunakan user “admin” sudah berhasil, tutup aplikasi WinBox
Login use the user "admin" has been successfully, close application WinBox
- Kemudian buka aplikasi WinBox, masuk menggunakan user baru (Salita), lalu klik “connect”
Then open application WinBox, login using new user (Salita), then click "connect"
- Masuk menggunakan user baru sudah berhasil
Login using the new user has been successfully
- Pilih menu “system” lalu pilih “services”
Select “system” menu then select “services”
- Klik dua kali pada “telnet” ubah port menjadi 8080, klik apply lalu ok
Double-click on the "telnet" to change port to 8080, click apply then ok
- Buka aplikasi PuTTY, isi IP Address routerboard lalu ubah port menjadi 8080 dan pilih type “telnet” lalu klik ok
Open PuTTY application, fill routerboard IP Address and change the port to 8080 and select the type "telnet" and click ok
- Masuk menggunakan user baru
Login using new user
- Jika tampilannya seperti ini maka akses Mikrotik routerboard melalui telnet sudah berhasil
If a display like this then Mikrotik routerboard access via telnet has successfully
- Klik dua kali pada “winbox” tambahkan IP Address untuk PC atau laptop anda, klik apply lalu ok. Tutup aplikasi WinBox
Double-click on the "winbox" add IP Address to your PC or laptop, click apply then ok. Close application WinBox
- Ubah IP Address di PC atau laptop, samakan dengan IP Address yang sudah diatur di “IP service winbox”
Change the IP Address on the PC or laptop, with the same IP address which is set in "IP service winbox"
- Buka aplikasi WinBox dan masuk menggunakan user baru “Salita” atau user “admin”
Open application WinBox and login using new user "Salita" or user "admin"
- Dan masuk WinBox menggunakan IP Address yang sama dengan laptop sudah berhasil, tutup aplikasi WinBox
And login WinBox using the same IP address with a laptop is successful, close the application WinBox
- Ubah IP Address pada laptop supaya tidak sama dengan IP Address pada “IP service winbox”
Change the IP Address to the laptop that is not the same as the IP address in "IP service winbox"
- Buka aplikasi WinBox dan masuk menggunakan user baru “Salita” atau user “admin”
Open application WinBox and login using new user "Salita" or user "admin"
- Jika muncul tampilan seperti ini berarti anda gagal masuk ke winbox karena IP Address laptop tidak sama dengan “IP service winbox”
If the display appears it means you failed to login IP Address winbox because the laptop is not the same as "IP service winbox"
